O’Neill Advisors Inc. is a Toronto based M&A advisory firm that specializes in assisting owners of private companies merge, acquire and divest businesses. Our real estate division is licensed to broker the associated real estate assets of these transactions, and for select private clients.

Marketing businesses and real estate requires two distinct very separate approaches since business transactions are normally highly confidential, while real estate transactions are most often marketed publicly. Having deep experience in both disciplines enables us to apply the appropriate approach in every transaction.

At O’Neill Advisors, we work for you in unique and innovative ways. We are a boutique brokerage that does three things very well. First, we broker the sale of privately owned businesses. Second, we assist business owners and acquirers assess opportunities to create value through Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) activities. Third, we work with business owners who purchase and sell associated real estate for personal use or investment purposes.

1. We are all full-time, professional brokers.

Businesses and real estate are our passions, not hobbies. Our founder, George O’Neill, is among a very select group being a Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) by the International Business Brokers Association. He is also a contributor to Real Estate Marketing Magazine, the industry authority on Canadian real estate news. He is also a sought after speaker on social media and marketing at events such as the annual Re/max National Conference, REBarCampTO, WordCamp and the Real Estate Marketing Conference. George also founded Real Estate Marketing Toronto (remarkto), the largest discussion and meetup group for real estate professionals in the GTA.

2. Educated and experienced.

We are engineers who hold MBA degrees and are proven marketers. We’ve cut our teeth at some of the largest engineering and consulting firms in million dollar projects where skills in sales, negotiation, project planning, M&A and execution were a must.

3. Confidentiality.

Confidentiality is paramount when selling businesses. We are experienced in the development of proprietary Blind Profiles, Confidential Business Reviews and Confidentiality Agreements, all used as tools so each buyer inquiry is managed to protect your business, while effectively qualifying each to determine the level of interest and ability to purchase.

 

We work with privately owned companies in industries where we possess deep experience, including real estate brokerages, insurance brokerages, financial services firms, professional services firms, technology businesses and new media companies.
